A shop of her own, selling worldwide

Gauri Aurrika is an Indian ethnic wear label. The brief was a shop the label owns outright: one that looks like the clothes deserve, takes payment properly, ships here and abroad, and can be run day to day without coming back to us.

The Gauri Aurrika shop homepage: a full-width photograph of gold and emerald embroidery, with the brand name and an invitation to explore the collection over it.
What was built
  • A homepage that reads like a lookbook rather than a grid of thumbnails, with collections, new arrivals and a wedding edit.
  • Product pages, basket and checkout, priced in rupees, with delivery and tax worked out at the till.
  • A dashboard for orders, stock and refunds, so the everyday running of the shop needs nobody technical.
  • Order confirmation emails that come from the brand's own address, not a platform's.
  • A WhatsApp button on every page, because that is where these customers actually ask their questions.
  • Product photography hosted and optimised so the pages stay quick on a phone.
Built with
  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL
